“کیسا فیصلہ؟“ اس نے چونک کر استفسار کیا۔
“نہیں، بس ایسے ہی کہہ دیا میں نے۔”
گھر آ چکا تھا۔وہ شش و پنج میں مبتلا گاڑی کا دروازہ کھول کر اتر نے لگی مگر پھر رک گئی۔
“برہان میں ان باتوں سے تنگ آچکی ہوں میرا وجود زندگی اور موت کے درمیان معلق ہے۔ پتا نہیں کب آپ مجبور ہو جائیں، کب آپ کا ارادہ بدل جائے ۔ بہتر ہو گا آپ جلد فیصلہ کر لیں اگر آپ عیشا کے حق میں بھی فیصلہ کریں گے تو مجھے اعتراض نہیں ہوگا کیونکہ خوشیوں پر آپ کا بھی حق ہے۔ وہ آپ کی محبت ہے اور میں کچھ بھی نہیں اور آپ آج تک اولاد کی خوشی سے بھی تو محروم ہیں عیشا آپ کی زندگی کو مکمل کر دے گی مگر میرا ظرف اتنا وسیع نہیں ہے میں شراکت برداشت نہیں کر سکتی۔”
اس نے اپنے دل پر پتھر رکھ کر مضبوط لہجے اور ہموار آواز میں اپنا فیصلہ سنا دیا اور برہان کو کچھ بھی کہنے کا موقع دیئے بغیر گاڑی سے اتر کر اندر چلی گئی۔
