اس نے ملگجے سے اندھیرے میں بھی اسے پہچان لیا تھا۔
“کیسی طبیعت ہے تمہاری؟ میں تمہاری طبیعت پوچھنے آئی تھی۔”
اس نے خود ہی ہاتھ بڑھا کر سائیڈ ٹیبل پہ رکھا چھوٹا سالیمپ جلا دیا تھا۔
“میری طبیعت؟ مگر اس وقت؟”
اس نے وال کلاک کی سمت دیکھا رات کا ایک بجا تھا۔
“جب فرصت ملے گی تب ہی پوچھوں گی نا؟”
اس نے بے نیازی ظاہر کی۔
“لیکن مہرماہ بی بی اس وقت آپ کا میرے بیڈ روم میں آنا مناسب نہیں پلیز آپ خود سمجھنے کی کوشش کریں۔”
اس کی بخار سے سرخ آنکھوں میں لال ڈورے تیر رہے تھے اور کچی نیند ہلکورے لے رہی تھی۔داد بخش بمشکل اپنے اعصاب ٹھکانے لا پایا تھا۔
“ہر وقت مناسب اور غیر مناسب کے چکروں میں مت پڑا کرو کبھی کسی کے احساسات اور جذبات بھی سمجھ لیا کرو۔”
مہرماہ کو اس کی پریشانی اور فکر پہ غصہ آیا تھا۔
داد بخش نے کمبل ہٹا کر پاؤں بیڈ سے نیچے اتارے تھے
“اب تم اٹھ کیوں رہے ہو؟”
“میرے سر پہ بدنامی کھڑی ہے اور میں سویا رہوں؟”
“واٹ؟اب میں تمہارے لیے بدنامی ہو گئی ہوں۔”
وہ تلملا کر بولی۔
“جہاں کوئی مضبوط رشتہ نہ ہو وہاں بدنامی ہی ہوتی ہے، میرے اور آپ کے درمیان کوئی رشتہ نہیں ہے۔”
اس نے سلیپر پہنے اور کھڑا ہو گیا تھا۔
