“کیا سوچ رہی ہو؟”
بالآخر اس نے خاموشی کے تالاب میں پہلا پتھر اچھالا ۔
“تم نے مجھ سے شادی کیوں کی۔”
جو بات اسے پریشان کیے تھی ، زبان پر آہی گئی۔
تم نے کیوں کی؟”
اس نے وہی سوال اس سے پوچھا۔
“میرا جواب تمہیں اچھا نہیں لگے گا۔”
اس نے ایمان داری سے کہا۔
“تمہیں میرے اچھا برا لگنے کی پروا ہے۔”
اس کے جملے میں طنز نہیں تھا، پھر بھی دھیمے اور ملائم لہجے میں کہی بات اس کے دل میں اس بری چبی اس کو غلطی کا احساس ہوا ۔
“بخدا یہ طنز نہیں، تمہارے سوال کا ہے۔”
اس کی آنکھوں میں الجھن لہرائی۔
“ہم سب کی زندگی میں کوئی واقعہ، حادثہ، کوئی شخص کوئی ملاقات ، کوئی انہوئی۔ کچھ تو ایسا ضرور ہوتا ہے جسے مرکز بنا کے ہم زندگی کو اس سے پہلے اور اس کے بعد میں تقسیم کر سکتے ہیں۔ تمہارا میرے پاس، اس گھر میں آنا وہ حادثہ تھا۔”
وہ کسی خیال کے زیر اثر ٹھہر گیا۔
“تم نے جواب نہیں دیا، تم نے کیوں کی مجھ سے شادی؟”
“امی اتنی فکر مند تھیں، اس رشتے پر بہت خوش، میں انہیں انکار نہیں کر سکتی تھی۔”
اسے اس کی گرفت کا پورا احساس تھا۔
“لیکن تم نے مجھ سے پوچھا تھا اگر مجھ پر پریشر ہے تو تم انکار کر دو گی۔”
اس نے یاد دلایا۔
“مجھے لگ رہا تھا تم آنٹی اور امی کو نہ نہیں کہہ پا
رہے اس لیے ۔”
“تم چاچی کو انکار نہیں کر سکتی تھیں لیکن میرے پریشر میں ہونے پر منع کر دیتیں؟“
وہ ہلکے سے مسکرایا۔ وہ چپ رہی۔
“میں نے اس سے پہلے کی زندگی تم سے نفرت کرتے گزاری تھی اور اب بقیہ زندگی تم سے محبت کرتے گزاروں گا۔”
