“آپ ہوش میں تو ہیں؟”
غم و غصے کی شدت سے اس کی آواز پھٹ گئی۔
“زیادہ چلانے کی ضرورت نہیں، تم اب اتنی بچی بھی نہیں ہو جو کورٹ میرج جیسے لفظ سے نا آشنا ہو اور مس حسن یہ تم اچھی طرح جان لو کہ میں اپنی بات کی وضاحت دوبارہ کسی کے سامنے پیش نہیں کرتا انڈر اسٹینڈ۔”
برفیلا لہجہ سلگتا انداز اس کے اندر تک سنائے بکھیرتا چلا گیا۔
“پلیز ایسا مت کریں نہ تو آپ میرے بارے میں جانتے ہیں اور نہ میں۔ کیا دو اجنبی لوگوں کا ملاپ ہو سکتا ہے۔”
ذیشانہ منت پر اتر آئی۔
“تم میرے لیے اجنبی نہیں ہو تم کون ہو کیا ہو سب تمہارے معلوم ہے مجھے۔ باقی رہا تمہارے جاننے کا سوال تو تمہار لیے یہ ہی بہت ہے کہ شاہ زر علی خان تمہیں اپنا نام دے رہا ہے۔”
“آخر میں نے یا میرے گھر والوں نے آپ کا کیا بگاڑا ہے؟“
وہ ہوش میں نہیں لگ رہی تھی۔
“اگر تم نے ایک لفظ بھی منہ سے نکالا تو لحاظ بالکل نہیں کروں گا۔ اپنے یہ مگر مچھ کے آنسو صاف کر لو۔ اس وقت نہ خود تماشا بنو اور نہ مجھے کچھ کرنے پر مجبور کرو۔ نکاح تو ہر حالت میں ابھی اسی وقت اور کورٹ میں ہو گا۔”
