عیشہ نے جھجکتے ہُوئے کاغذات اس کی طرف بڑھائے۔

“آپ کچھ کہیں گے نہیں؟”
“کیا کہوں۔”
وہ الٹا اس سے پوچھنے لگا۔ پھر اس کی آنکھوں میں پانی بھر تا دیکھ کر اٹھ کھڑا ہوا۔
“بس اتنا کہوں گا کہ جو میں نے سنا اس کو سن کر مجھے بہت دکھ ہوا۔ میں سوچ رہا ہوں، میری اتنی محبت تم پر اسی لیے اثر انداز نہیں ہورہی تھی۔اس لیے تمہاری آنکھوں میں مجھے محبت کی جگہ کوئی اور رنگ نظر آتا تھا۔ آج پتہ چلا تمہاری آنکھوں میں وہ احساس نفرت کا تھا اور یہ سوچ کر مجھے پہلی بار خود سے نفرت ہو رہی ہے۔”
اس نے ہونٹ بھینچ کر اپنی سسکی کو روکا۔ وہ مزید
بات کیے بغیر باہر نکل گیا۔ جب کہ وہ کتنی دیر تک یوہی کھڑی رہی۔
“میں محبت کرتی ہوں آپ سے… بہت زیادہ۔” کچھ دیر بعد وہ دھیمی آواز میں بولی۔ لیکن سننے والا جاچکا تھا۔
