“کیا ہوا سارہ سب خیریت ہے؟”
وہ دیوار سے ہٹتا ہوا اس کی جانب آیا۔
“یہ تو میں تم سے پوچھنے آئی ہوں۔”
اس کا لہجہ حد درجہ کڑوا تھا۔
“کیا پوچھنے آئی ہو؟ل
وہ انداز سمجھ رہا تھالیکن سوال تک رسانی نہ تھی۔
“تم اپنی اور میری کہانی میں عمارہ کو کیوں گھیسٹ رہے ہو۔”
سوال نہیں چاہک تھا جو مقابل نے شدت سے اپنے وجود پہ پڑتا محسوس کیا۔
“میں ایسا کروں گا۔تم یہ سوچ بھی کیسے سکتی ہو؟”اس کی حیرانی کے پیچھے کوئی موہوم کی امید تھی۔ “میں تو بہت کچھ نہیں سوچ سکتی تھی لیکن تم وہ سب کر کے دکھا رہے ہو۔”
“مثلا؟” اس نے سنجیدگی سے پوچھا۔
“تمہارا کردار میری زندگی میں اس دن ختم ہو گیا تھا جب تم نے میرے فیصلے کے سامنے رکاوٹیں کھڑی کرنا شروع کی تھیں، یہ جانتے ہوئے بھی کہ وہ سب میری خواہش نہیں ضرورت تھی، خیر مجھے پرانی باتیں نہیں دہرانئ بلکہ میں صرف تمہیں یہ بتانے آئی ہوں کہ اپنی اماں جان کو بتا دو میری طرف سے تمہارے لیے انکار ہے اور وہ اس سلسلے میں خالہ کو مجبور مت کریں۔ تمہارے لیے بھی بہتر ہوگا کہ تم اپنی خواہش کی عمارت عمارہ کے ذریعے کھڑی کرنے کی کوشش نہ کرو۔”
وہ بولتے ہوئے بھول رہی تھی کہ مقابل کو اس نے کچھ کہنے کے قابل نہیں چھوڑا تھا۔
“تم ہمیشہ سے اتنی بدگمان ہو یا ان چند سالوں کی نوازش ہے؟”
امید ٹوٹ چکی تھی لیکن بھرم رہ جانے کی خواہش شدید
